Holiday Wishy-Wishy Listy (maybe part 1)

Well, the majority of my greedy-greedy wish list can be broken down into three main categories: tech, footwear and clothes this time. I could really use an ipod dock speaker/radio combo for my living room (OK studio apartment you got me!) because the speakers on my laptop barely project throughout the whole place. And I need a new pair of plain old trainers for work and walking around.. Also, I am on the market for a pair of black equestrian type of boots also for walking around in... And my denim jacket needs replacing I love it and the 9 years I've had that H&M piece have been swell, but it's about on it's last threads so I think a leather replacement is in order!

Of course my first wish is an apartment back at home in NYC complete with job as I miss my family so much and each holiday away from them is harder and harder. This Thanksgiving alone was rough and the month of December always makes me sad away from home (especially since I work retail and you can't get away from the season if you tried)

Mom, Dad, I keep clicking my heels but damn it I'm still here.

Otherwise, I could always use gift certificates to Nike and Zappos I guess, since I have to replace my cold weather running clothes this year and add a rain layer.

Visually, I like it. Later I will go back to my Monty Python marathon.

my girl has a new home! Thanks Sarah and John for buying my favorite one! Now I know she will have a great place to live... and I really like how you're going to frame her. I can't wait to see it!

... especially ones that start with a brisk trail run and a nice hot shower and cup of tea. Then finishing up the next 002 illustration while I simultaneously catch up on the Daily Show and the Colbert Report from the last two nights online.

*And just a note to Sarah... I am very proud of you. We ran the San Antonio half marathon together this past Sunday and it was a great run and Sarah's first half marathon and longest run to date and she did great!

Now who wants to run Vegas with me Dec. 6? Or better who wants to come with me that weekend and scream my name from the sidelines?

It's Friday (and) I'm in Love...

...with these lovely Peony blooms at Central Market. (*ahhhhhhhhh, sigh) They're on of my favorite flowers. (hint hint hint) And while I'm at it, may I just say that this Friday I'm in love with Central Market in general. In fact, I think I'll head over there for lunch in a minute. And then tonight is ladies night with my girlfriends. And tomorrow... a long and early run, some chair painting, a walk to the library and hopefully some skype time ;)
